Rules of Seniors Match Play

Inscription for the Seniors Match Play competition is open on Albatros in March. The draw will be made End of March.

Number of participants: maximum 32. Open to all members of the AGL Seniors Mixtes association. Handicaps > 36 will be brought to 36. Lowest handicap players will be seeded.
Match Plays will be played using the handicap.

The lower handicap player will give the number of strokes calculated by Albatros according to the following principle: if A is the lower handicap player, and B has a higher handicap – (handicap B *2/3, rounded) – (handicap A *2/3, rounded) = number of shots received, rounded.

Strokes will be received by the higher handicap player according to the highest hole index.
All rounds will be determined by knock-out. If the match is all square after 18 holes, victory will be determined by play-off, restarting at hole 1, and using the strokes received again, if appropriate. Tee-off from yellow for Men and Red for Ladies.

If possible organise the match-play games in flights of 4. The secretariat will provide score cards marked with the strokes received


Procedure

The date for matches should be agreed between the players. Matches must be completed within the deadlines of the calendar below. It will not be possible to reserve flights for just 2 players.
Once the date for the match has been agreed, inform the secretariat for preparation of the scorecard. If a player forfeits, he is considered to have lost the match.

At the end of play, before submitting the card to the secretariat, the winner must mark the result at the top or bottom of the card, in the format: name of winner/ number of holes won/ number of holes remaining (example John 3/2, meaning 3 holes up after 16).

The winner submits the card, signed by both players, to the secretariat and emails the result to Sabine Schneeberger, cf. Mail after Draw of Lots.
